Terms And Conditions For Online Payments

  1. The Parent may make online payments via the link provided by the Accountant. SkySCHOOL will not be responsible for any loss / liability arising out of disclosure of debit card/credit card details by using any other mode of payment

2. Parents shall ensure the learner is prepared and dressed appropriately
3. Learners are not allowed to consume food or drinks while a live session is ongoing

  1. If the Parent wishes to pay via a wire transfer without using a debit card / credit card, he/she may directly transfer to the bank account mentioned in the invoice.
  2. The records of the transaction, computerized or otherwise, on the payments shall be accepted as conclusive evidence of the genuineness and accuracy and binding for all the purposes.
  3. The parent should ensure that their account is adequately funded for a successful transaction. Any charge / levy by the service provider / bank on account of an unsuccessful transaction due to inadequate funds in the parent’s account will be recoverable from the parent.
  1. In case there shall be a reversal of charges paid online, the cost of reimbursement (bank charges, etc.) will be borne by SkySCHOOL if the reason for reversal is due to the negligence of SkySCHOOL.
  2. These terms must be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions mentioned in the Application form signed by the parent.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

E-Safety And Data Protection Policy

1. Parents shall ensure the social media applications and / or games installed in learner’s electronic device is disabled or inactive within online school time.
2. Access to internet shall have appropriate parental control enabled to avoid visiting and downloading irrelevant content and sharing with other learners.
3. We highly recommend the parents to examine the electronic device periodically for any applications, content or materials which may disrupt the learner’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing whereby disturbing the teaching and learning process.
4. Parents shall keep the learners informed of the importance of data protection and data safety. The learners shall be aware of what content can be shared to enable the teaching and learning process while what content should NOT be shared with others.

5. EXPLATORIALS, tools and techniques used are of the property of SkySCHOOL and is allowed to be used ONLY for the registered and active learners of the SkySCHOOL. It is strictly prohibited to share this information with others, re-produce or use for any other purpose without prior approval from the school.
6. Parents should ensure that learners understand what cyber-bullying is and what should be done if they become aware of it happening to them or others. This awareness will ensure that learners know how they can report any incidents and are encouraged to do so, including where they are a witness rather than the victim.
7. SkySCHOOL will actively discuss cyber-bullying with parents and learners, explaining the reasons why it occurs, the forms it may take and what the consequences can be however it shall be the parent’s responsibility to observe and actively involve in identification and mitigation.
8. SkySCHOOL shall not use any of the learner’s images or personal information unless prior permission is obtained from the parent.

Online Code of Conduct

1. Mobile phone should be turned off or kept on aeroplane mode during learning sessions
2. Parents shall ensure the learner is prepared and dressed appropriately
3. Learners are not allowed to consume food or drinks while a live session is ongoing
4. Learners should attend all learning sessions from a disturbance free location having a desk and comfortable seating
5. Video camera and microphone should be switched ON at all times unless otherwise requested to switch off by the educator
6. Learner shall be present 5 minutes before the start of the 1st period and on time after each break between learning sessions
7. Parent shall inform the supervisor by email ([email protected]), if the learner cannot attend a class for any reason
8. Learners shall communicate only in the English language (except in Arabic class) at all times
9. Learners shall complete all tasks and assignments on their own, unless it is a collaborative group task
10. Learners shall complete all self-study tasks assigned to them on “independent learning” sessions (ILS)
11. Learners shall treat all other pupils and educators and their opinions with respect, cultural sensitivity and politeness
12. Learners shall stick to topics related to the relevant lessons taught during each learning session
13. Learners shall not use inappropriate language that may cause offence to others
14. Parents/learners shall refrain from having any direct or personal contact with their educators (or vice versa) except through the learning platform or via SkySCHOOL email communications. This is considered to be a violation of the intellectual property and SkySCHOOL will have the right to terminate the learner’s contract without any compensation or issuance of performance certifications
15. Parents/learners shall share any concern that they may have about their educator with the supervisor by emailing [email protected]

Tech Policy

1.Parents shall ensure the PC or MAC device used shall have the minimum hardware requirements for Microsoft Teams as specified in the official Microsoft website (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/hardware-requirements-for-the-teams-app).

2. Appropriate hard disk space shall be maintained or external / cloud storage available to facilitate the teaching and learning process.
3. Parents shall ensure 1Mbps undisrupted bandwidth is available throughout the online school time.
4. For learners connecting from countries/cities having inconsistent electricity supply, parents shall ensure the laptop device is fully charged prior to the start of class or if a Desktop PC, an appropriate UPS supply is available.

5. Tabs or Smartphones shall be used only as a backup for online classes in case the laptop or desktop devises are having incidental issues.
6. SkySCHOOL educators shall provide basic tech support guidance in class to pupils having minor engagement issues however it shall be the parent’s responsibility to rectify and correct issues beyond educator’s support.
